The Fender Telecaster is another one of the most iconic guitars that Fender has ever produced. In fact, this was the first mass produced solid body electric guitar in the entire world, along with the Esquire. It has a simple design and a unique sound that revolutionized the worlds of music and guitar manufacturing forever after. ----

The online team at Belfield Music can hook you up with your very own Telecaster from the Fender custom shop. You can choose from their stock between a maple fingerboard and a rosewood fingerboard.

Most Telecasters have two pickups that are single coil. One of the pickups is in the body of the guitar, shielded by a plastic pickguard. The other is by the bridge.

This is one of the most simple and versatile guitars ever built. It is beloved by guitar experts and can be played in nearly any style of music that you can imagine.

Bridge Pickup

The bridge pickup is housed inside of a metal plate that sits near the guitar's bridge. This is usually used to give the guitar a nice country twang. This is meant to mimic the tone of the steel guitar used in western swing.

Neck Pickup

You can also switch over to the neck pickup. This gives a crunchier sound that is more typically associated with jazz and blues guitar.

Maple Fingerboard

Most telecasters have a maple fingerboard to go with the 21-fret scale length. There are many benefits to this wood including easy touch and neck shape that make the guitar easier to play.

Rosewood Fingerboard

Many of the new products in the Telecaster line also have the option for a rosewood fingerboard. This is a comfortable alternative to Maple.
